This is the offline version of My Comet Cursor help. To access all the features
of My Comet Cursor, you will need to connect to the Internet. Once you are
connected, you can access our up-to-date help document by
visiting our web site.
My Comet Cursor does include an offline feature. To change your cursor while offline simply open
My Comet Cursor, click Saved Cursors toward the bottom of the lefthand
navigation bar, and then click on a cursor.
:: What is My Comet Cursor?
My Comet Cursor lets you change what the "arrow" cursor looks like on your computer.
:: What if I want to get the normal arrow back?
Open My Comet Cursor. Click the Default button.
:: What does the Saved Cursors link do?
Every time you click on a cursor in the My Comet Cursor window while online, a
copy is placed in your Saved Cursors folder for use later. You can even
use this feature when you're not connected to the Internet. You can delete all
of the Saved Cursors by selecting "Delete Saved Cursors" from the menu which pops
up when you click on the My Comet Cursor logo in the upper-left corner of the window.
:: How do I open My Comet Cursor in the future?
One of three ways:

click
the white arrow image in the system tray;

go
into your Start button on your task bar, select Programs,
select My Comet Cursor;

3) |
double-click the My Comet Cursor icon on
your desktop.

:: What is Automatic Self-Update?
Automatic Self-Update is a free service that
provides you with an easy way to keep My Comet Cursor up to date.
When you enable Self-Update, My Comet Cursor will automatically
retrieve new versions of the software as they are released. For more
information on Automatic Self-Update, connect to the
Internet and visit the Self-Update
page.
:: How do I uninstall this program?
You have
installed Comet Cursor Plus, which is comprised of two components: the
My Comet Cursor desktop application and the Comet Cursor web browser
extension. You can choose to uninstall one of these components or
both using Add/Remove Programs:
1) |
click
the
Start
Button on your Task Bar (usually the lower left hand corner of
your screen), select Settings | Control
Panel; |
2) |
double-click the Add/Remove Programs
icon; you will see a scrolling list of installed
software;

3) |
select "Comet - My Comet
Cursor desktop application" to uninstall only My
Comet Cursor or select "Comet - Comet Cursor web
browser extension" to uninstall both My Comet Cursor
and the Comet Cursor web browser extension;

4) |
click
the Add/Remove button. You will receive confirmation messages
asking if you really want to uninstall the software and
telling you if uninstallation was
successful.
